GUIDED WALKING HOLIDAYS
We offer comprehensive all inclusive walking itineraries with luxury accommodation, guided walks, breakfast, lunch and dinner for small groups of 8-12 guests starting from €600 per person per week.

We provide transport to and from the walks and our English guide will lead your walk each day, providing interesting information about the local area, nature, history and geographic features of the walk.

We can adapt our itineraries to suit the level of the group, however, most walks are moderate and involve 5-6 hours steady walking a day. Walking weeks usually involve 5 day walks (some with sightseeing opportunities) and a rest day.

A network of ancient walking routes fan out in all directions in the valley of Valfabbrica. The farmstead is even rumoured to have one of the original pilgrim trails running across its land. There are over 100 miles of track and path through forests, mountains and open countryside in the surrounding areas and National Park land.

Many of our walks take place on the marked tracks through the Monte Cucco National park. Walks in the national parks offer remote locations, protected environments and uninterrupted views of the Apennines. As the national parks are conservation areas, you may also see badgers, foxes, stone martins, porcupines, wild boar, roe deer, fallow deer, wolves, wild cats, kestrels, eagle owls hoopoe and a wide variety of butterflies. You wil have access to a wide variety of unspoiled flora and fauna in the wilds of the national parks.

Example walks:
The Gubbio ring walk. 8km, 5 hours. This walk has a dramatic start, a trip up the Funivia, (cable car) with stunning views of the town, then a days walk through the high pastures, woods and old farmsteads in the Apennine. The walk ends back in the medieval walled city of Gubbio and we allow time to explore or relax in Gubbio after the walk.

Valle delle Prigion Ring Walk 9.5km, 6 hours, 400m of ascent-starts at the village of Coldipeccio(the drive itself is very pretty and offers great views)
A stunning walk, with fantastic views of the high Apennines-the first section of the walk is uphill-so the walk starts early in summer months. After a steady climb at the start, the walk offers stunning views of the Valle delle Prigion from large grassy plains on the Serra Piana and winds down hill through shady woods and continues along the banks of the Fosso di Beto (great for a quick cooling dip!) and past dramatic gorges and water worn rock pools. The walk ends with a short scramble through the aqueduct tunnel and then passes through the remote hill town of Pascelupo and finishes back in Coldipeccio. The route is very enjoyable and offers good photo opportunities.
